Green Banana Smoothie


The liquid meal/snack is always great when on the go! Just a quick as a regular banana and packed with a whole lot of flavour a smoothie with frozen banana makes for a creamy and delicious drink.

SERVES: 2
PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES


Ingredients
1 ½ Cups Unsweetened almond milk or skim milk
1 Cup chopped spinach
½ Cup chopped kale
1 medium banana (Freeze for a thicker smoothie consistency)
1 tbs honey
1 tbsp peanut or almond butter
1 tbsp chia seeds
Method
1. Pop everything into a blender and enjoy!

Banana on toast

Although this might sound strange, you can’t knock it until you’ve tried it! A Rapid loss favourite breakfast recipe.

SERVES: 1
PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES

Ingredients

1/2 a sliced banana
2 slices of wholemeal bread
1 Tablespoon of peanut butter teaspoon of chia seeds.
For some extra sweetness add a drizzle of honey.
You could substitute the peanut butter with any nut butter or spread alternative.
Method
1. Toast bread
2. Spread toast with peanut butter
3. Slice banana and add evenly to each slice of toast
4. Sprinkle with chia seeds and drizzle with honey (optional)



Banana pancakes


Everyone loves a weekend pancake; this healthy and delicious recipe will make you want to have pancakes on the daily.

SERVES: 1
PREPARATION TIME: 10 MINUTES

Ingredients
1 large slightly overripe banana
1 whole egg
1 cup of rolled oats
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of honey to serve.

Method
1. Place in a blender all of the ingredients excluding honey.
2. Blend until a creamy consistency
3. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a small amount of batter into the pan
4. Flip when you see bubbles on the top of the pancake
5. Continue until all the batter is gone.
6. Place pancakes on a plate, drizzle honey and serve.



Banana nice-cream


Ice cream is definitely a desert must, but with all the added sugars, excess dairy and large calorie content banana nice cream is by far a better, healthier and debatably more delicious creamy treat.

SERVES: 2
PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES

Ingredients
2 Frozen Bananas
1 teaspoon cacao powder
1 tablespoon honey
Frozen berries optional.

Method
1. Place all the ingredients into a blender and mix until silky smooth.
2. Pop into a bowl and enjoy.





Banana porridge


A tasty and warm breakfast to help you wake up with the quickly approaching cold winter mornings.

SERVES: 1
PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES

Ingredients
1 cup of boiling water
½ cup rolled oats
1 banana
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of peanut butter

Method
1. Place oats and water into a bowl and stir, add to the microwave for 2 minutes on low.
2. Remove from microwave, if cooked add in vanilla and top with banana and peanut butter.
3. Wait till to cool down then enjoy!
