It’s winter and you know what that means, strawberries are in season!
Yes, most people groan at the thought of colder weather but some of our favourite berries thrive on the cooler days so we’re not complaining.
With so many fresh berries available it’s time to take advantage of the gorgeous seasonal fruit on offer and although strawberries make the perfect snack, they can also pack a punch in your smoothies.
Find out how you can make an easy strawberry and banana smoothie with Rapid Loss that will keep you feeling full and satisfied no matter what time of day it is.
Benefits Of Smoothies
Not only are smoothies delicious but they can be a great addition to any healthy diet.
Smoothies are an easy way to increase your intake of fruit and vegetables throughout the day and unlike juices, which strain the fibrous parts of your fruit, smoothies usually involve blending the whole fruit, so you get the full benefit of your ingredients.
Berries like strawberries are also especially good ingredients for smoothies when you’re trying to lose weight as they’re light in calories yet high in fibre and vitamins which keep you feeling fuller for longer.
If you find yourself never feeling completely full, the fibre in fruit or veg based smoothies could be your new best friend!
Consuming fruits and vegetables in liquid form also makes it easier for your body to break down nutrients and digest them so you can get the most out of your food.
Overall smoothies are an excellent addition to any healthy diet.
How Can You Incorporate Smoothies Into Your Diet?
Smoothies don’t have to be consumed at any particular time during the day, however, drinking a protein rich smoothie in the morning can be a simple way to prevent cravings and keep your appetite in check until your next meal.
You can also use smoothies as a way to increase your nutrient intake throughout the day, particularly vegetables which can be easily masked with the natural sweetness of fruits in any of your favourite smoothies.
